Project: Women and New Tehnology

From 8 – 10 of November 2002 in Topusko, we have organised seminar for the members of women's inititatives with the aim of building knowledge in using internet in daily work of women activists and to enhance capacities of women's groups. Participants gain the knowledge on how to use the Internet in finding potential donors, how to use forums and e-mail groups in exchanging information, how to connect with international groups and networks working on women's rights. Also, participants had opportunity to learn how to use program MS Excell in advanced way while writing and planning project budgets and financial reports.

On the seminar we presented the manual " Women's Activism On-line" that CESI edited within the project and by which we conducted the seminar. The lecturers were Marijana Mijat (CESI activist and volunteer), Sanja Galeković (project assistant), and Anamarija Gospočić (project coordinator).

The participants were very pleased with interesting program of the seminar and with the new information and knowledge they gain.
