ECDL Course for unemployed women
When it comes to finding a decent job, women usually fail since they aren't educated in using new technologies. With this course participants can prove that they gained necessary skills, but also this course will increase self-confidence and feeling of competitiveness at the labour market.

Public discussion held in Samobor
In Secondary Craft School in Samobor was held on 15th of May 2008 the last, fifth in a row, public discussion entitled "Silence is not Golden" on teen-dating violence. The venue was full and around 100 young men and women were anxious to hear famous TV presenter and actress Iva Šulentić and singer Emina Arapović speak.
PUBLIC DISCUSSION HELD IN SPLIT!
The third public discussion on teen-dating violence entitled "Silence is not Golden" was held in Public Open University in Split on 6th of May 2008. Special guest speakers were singers Luka Nižetić and Emina Arapović. Luka emphasized the importance of dealing with the issue of teen-dating violence through campaigns, discussions and sensitization of youth. Emina spoke of women's experience of violence in public places with examples from her own life.
PUBLIC DISCUSSION HELD IN ZAGREB!
In the High-school Lucijan Vranjanin a public discussion on teen-dating violence entitled "Silence is not Golden" was held on 22nd of April 2008. In this school a group of students together with their teacher Slavica Antolić is making a short film on violence. Special guests at the public discussion were Luka Nižetić, Ida Prester and girls from the band Angels:Matilda Oroši and Martina Begčević.
PUBLIC DISCUSSION ON TEEN-DATING VIOLENCE IN RIJEKA
Second in a row public discussion on teen- dating violence "Silence is not Golden" was held in Rijeka on 18th April 2008. Special guests were singer Luka Nižetić and girls from the band Angels: Tea Mišković and Martina Begčević. Luka, Tea and Martina were excellent speakers that displayed good knowledge and understanding of the problem.
Project Young Women Can Do It comes to the end
Evaluation seminar of the project "Young Women Can Do It" was held in April in Opatija. The project is implemented in the cooperation with Norwegian Peoples Aid. Participants of the project are young women, members of 6 political parties and 8 NGO'a. On the seminar they have presented the local WCDI seminars and local actions implemented in period of 8 months.
Silence is not Golden! in Osijek
The first public discussion on teen-dating violence entitled "Silence is not Golden" was held in Osijek at the High- school for Building and Geodesy.Guest speaker, besides CESI's experts, was a well-known theatre actress Nela Kočiš from Osijek. She spoke about the importance of dealing with this problem.

During the April and May the public discussions for young people will be held at Osijek, Rijeka, Zagreb and Split. The topic of the public discussions entitled "Silence is not Golden" will be gender based violence. As special guests will appear: Luka Nižetić, Ida Prester, Ivan Dečak from the band Vatra, actress Nela Kočiš and the band Angels.
STUDY VISIT TO DUBLIN AND BELFAST
In February 2008, CARE International North West Balkans organized a study visit to Dublin, Ireland and Belfast, Northern Ireland for partner organizations CESI from Zagreb; Autonomous Women's Centre from Belgrade; and Medika from Zenica. Study visit was part of a joint project entitled "Combating Gender Based Violence in the Western Balkans" which aims at prevention of gender-based violence, respect of women's human rights and improvement of gender equality.

INSPIRING SEMINAR!
Comments like: "After your seminar I feel fulfilled, rich,inspired, and powerful", "It was excellent! Each part of the seminar: facilitators, methods of work, atmosphere in the group and accomodation at the hotel" and "Vili Matula is an excellent actor" were some of the participants' comments of the seminar THEATER. The seminar was part of National Campaign for the Prevention of Gender Based Violence and was held at Donja Stubica at the beginning of November 2007.
PREVENTION OF GENDER BASED VIOLENCE THROUGH EDUCATION
"The Role of Education in the Prevention of Gender Based Violence" was the title of the 2nd regional conference held in Zenica from 13th until 16th of November 2007. Conference was organized by CARE International North West Balkans, CESI from Zagreb, Medica from Zenica and Autonomous Women's Center from Belgrade in partnership with Agency for Gender Equality of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pedagogical Institute from Zenica.
RESEARCH ON TEEN DATING VIOLENCE PRESENTED IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA AND IN SERBIA
During November 2007, the results of CESI research on teen dating violence, published in the report "Violence does not pass by itself", were presented in
Sarajevo, Zenica and Belgrade. At these presentations, there were around 120 people present all together, and 160 copies of research report were distributed. Discussions after the presentations were mostly focused on the local situation, but the common comments emphasized the need for similar research in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in Serbia, as well as for the inclusion of education and prevention programs in school curricula.
