  • THE YOUTH IS ASKING FOR COUNSELLING SERVICES ON SEX

    Group of Zagreb high-school students on May 12, 2009, handed to Secretary of State, Ante Zvonimir Golem some 4.000 postcards with signatures of the young people who demanded opening of youth counselling services on sexual and reproductive health adapted to the needs of youth. Representatives of the youth group: Leticija Petrović, Davor Nikolić, Tena Čižmešija and Luka Orešković brought boxes with signed postcards and had a meeting with the Secretary of State, together with representatives of CESI and Croatian Youth Network.

  • GEA CONFERENCE IN LONDON

    Nataša Bijelić from CESI attended Gender and Education Association's 7th International Conference entitled "Gender: Regulation and Resistance in Education" from 25-27 March 2009 in London, UK. The conference was organized by the Institute of Education, University of London.

  • Women and Entrepreneurship

    How to start your own business either craft or cooperatives, these were the topics of the "Counseling in small business development" workshop. The workshop was organized during June for the unemployed women at the EU Information Centre, under the project "Creating New Opportunities in the Labour Market".

    Trainer of the workshop was Ms Ljiljana Kukec, president of the Croatian associatiation on franchising and president of the Centre for franchises, Pro maturo.

  • ECDL Course for unemployed women

    When it comes to finding a decent job, women usually fail since they aren't educated in using new technologies. With this course participants can prove that they gained necessary skills, but also this course will increase self-confidence and feeling of competitiveness at the labour market.

  • Public discussion held in Samobor

    In Secondary Craft School in Samobor was held on 15th of May 2008 the last, fifth in a row, public discussion entitled "Silence is not Golden" on teen-dating violence. The venue was full and around 100 young men and women were anxious to hear famous TV presenter and actress Iva Šulentić and singer Emina Arapović speak.

  • PUBLIC DISCUSSION HELD IN SPLIT!

    The third public discussion on teen-dating violence entitled "Silence is not Golden" was held in Public Open University in Split on 6th of May 2008. Special guest speakers were singers Luka Nižetić and Emina Arapović. Luka emphasized the importance of dealing with the issue of teen-dating violence through campaigns, discussions and sensitization of youth. Emina spoke of women's experience of violence in public places with examples from her own life.

  • PUBLIC DISCUSSION HELD IN ZAGREB!

    In the High-school Lucijan Vranjanin a public discussion on teen-dating violence entitled "Silence is not Golden" was held on 22nd of April 2008. In this school a group of students together with their teacher Slavica Antolić is making a short film on violence. Special guests at the public discussion were Luka Nižetić, Ida Prester  and girls from the band Angels:Matilda Oroši and Martina Begčević.

  • PUBLIC DISCUSSION ON TEEN-DATING VIOLENCE IN RIJEKA

    Second in a row public discussion on teen- dating violence "Silence is not Golden" was held in Rijeka on 18th April 2008. Special guests were singer Luka Nižetić and girls from the band Angels: Tea Mišković and Martina Begčević. Luka, Tea and Martina were excellent speakers that displayed good knowledge and understanding of the problem.

  • Project Young Women Can Do It comes to the end

    Evaluation seminar of the project "Young Women Can Do It" was held in April in Opatija. The project is implemented in the cooperation with Norwegian Peoples Aid. Participants of the project are young women, members of 6 political parties and 8 NGO'a. On the seminar they have presented the local WCDI seminars and local actions implemented in period of 8 months.

  • Silence is not Golden! in Osijek

    The first public discussion on teen-dating violence entitled "Silence is not Golden" was held in Osijek at the High- school for Building and Geodesy.Guest speaker, besides CESI's experts, was a well-known theatre actress Nela Kočiš from Osijek. She spoke about the importance of dealing with this problem.
