On October 27 a conference "Good Practices and Policies on the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights of Young People" took place in Zagreb.

Last Friday, October 23, 2009 after a protest by which young people demanded opening of sexual counselling services in front of the Ministry of Health, organized by Youth Initiative in cooperation with CESI and, a concert at the Flower Square in Zagreb took place.

Youth Initiative in cooperation with CESI organized a protest in front of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, seeking the establishment of youth counselling services on sexual and reproductive health.

"We want counselling services for youth, gotta problem? If I shower after sex, it is certain I will not get pregnant? If I masturbate too much, will I become infertile?, I have a scab on the penis, do I need a gynaecologist?, I kissed a girl .. . am I normal ??..."

 These are just a few of the questions that the youth is demanding answers to in connection to their own sexual and reproductive health.

On 21 September, 2009 in Hotel Dubrovnik in Zagreb, the first thematic meeting of the Croatian network for cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean was held. It was organized by the National Foundation for Civil Society which is the  national coordinator of the Network. CESI as one of 44 members of the Croatian network was represented by Gordana Obradović-Dragišić, executive director.

A public panel "We want youth counseling services! Gotta problem with that?!" took place on October 6th at Culture centre Galženica in Velika Gorica. The event was organized by Velika Goricas's Youth Initiative  and CESI. Guest speakers at the panel were Nataša Bijelić from CESI and Biserka Šavora, pedagogue from Avation High School "Rudolf Perešin".

Promotion of the manual "Sex na Ex"and its accompanying video was held on June 13th 2009 in European Union Information Centre in Zagreb.
