Through program People 2 People, and in co-operation with Forum Civil Peace Service – forum ZDF a study journey to Bruxelles was organised from 3rd to 6th May 2011 under the title "A Contribution of civil society to peace building in West Balkans". The goal of program was to introduce the representatives of civil society organisations to European institutions, politics, processes and programs referring to West Balkans. Peace activists from the territory of former Yugoslavia participated in this study journey, and Sanda Malbaša was a CESI representative.

The participants took part at the lectures on legal rules and programs on European level and at debates on the role of civil society organisations in building of long-term peace in the region. They also had a chance to visit European institutions and International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in Hague. Various possibilities opened to them such as mutual interchange and networking, as well as co-operation with civil society European organisations.
