Volunteers Svjetlana Knežević and Nataša Stepčić present the work of CESI to the interested students

On Thursday, 3rd March 2011 the Organisation Poligraf of the Faculty of political science (FPZ) organised at FPZ a Get involved day– a presentation of organisations of civil society from various activity areas, which within their programmes foresee activities of involvement of citizens, especially the youth / students.

At CESI stand students were able to meet programmes and activities they can involve. The most interest was aroused by the programmes concerning violence prevention in adolescent relationships as well as the education of youth on sexual and reproductive rights. The students of journalism also expressed their wish to volunteer at portal Libela.org.

Within the Get involved day also a block of mini-lectures was held, by the professors of Faculty of political science, by Tonči Kursar "Citizenship and Democracy", Bert Šalaj "Civil Society – theory and practice" and Nikola Buković from Croatian Youth Network "Activism of Youth – why yes?"

Beside CESI, the students were introduced to the following organisations: VCZ (Volonterski centar Zagreb/Volunteers' Centre Zagreb), GONG, KSET, Documenta, Ambidexter, Plavi Telefon, Savjetovalište Luka Ritz (Luka Ritz Counselling Centre), Transparency International, Amnesty International, CMS (Centar za mirovne studije / Centre for Peace Studies), Zelena Akcija (Green Action) and Prijatelji Životinja (Friends of Animals).
