Participants of the Meeting
CESI participates in the implementation of international project of European Commission, DAPHNE III "Gender Equality Awareness Raising against Intimate Partner Violence" whose purpose is to contribute to primary violence prevention in partner relationships through intervention at schools. The third meeting of partner organisations was held in Athens from 13 -15 January 2011, at which CESI representatives Sanja Cesar and Nataša Bijelić participated.
In this project phase the elaboration of education package for teachers and pupils has been concluded. Its goal is to deconstruct gender stereotypes and to prevent violence in partner relationships. The Education package is just at the stage of translation into languages of partner organisations, and there will soon follow the trainings for teachers who will work with students aged from 14 to 16 years. This Education package will be available in Croatia, whereas education will be performed in Germany, Austria and Greece.
The Project lasts for two years and it is co-ordinated by European Anti-Violence Network from Greece and the participants are SPI Forschung GmbH from Germany, Austrian Women Shelter Network / Information Centre Against Violence from Austria and Hellenic Association of Health Education Promoting Teachers from Greece.
