The youth at the workshop " Love and side effects"
At schools in Velika Gorica pupils attended two CESI programs lead by our co-workers Biserka Šavora, Sania Kuzmac and Vesna Štefančić.
The Program "Adolescence pregnancy prevention" was conducted in the second grades of high schools with purpose to inform pupils of the importance of reproductive health protection and promotion of responsible sexual behaviour. The Program elaborates themes such as: holistic approach to health, reproductive organs and care for its development and health, sex hygiene, information on adolescence pregnancies and consequential problems, reproductive and sexual rights, as well as where young people can obtain information and help. At the workshops conducted in twenty classes 560 high school students took part, and after the workshop several female students asked for a professional advice from the program leaders.
Public discussions under the title "Love and side effects" were held in four elementary schools and around 470 pupils from 17 eighth grades participated at them. The group of young tutors conduct public discussions for already five years in elementary schools and they are very well accepted in each class, and in many schools they have been specially praised by the expert co-workers and classmasters.
Workshop at school in Velika Gorica
The public discussion consists of two parts. In the first part young tutors talk to the pupils about physical and emotional changes, appearance and self-confidence; companionship, closeness, falling in love, love, values. The tutors inform the pupils about types of violence, violence in relationships and how to realize a good relationship.
In the second part of discussion the pupils can talk about their experiences and they can ask questions regarding the theme. Sometimes the leaders of discussion examine pupils to check how many information they have memorized.
