Sanja Cesar attended the study tour seminar "The role of CSOs in combating domestic violence" organised by People 2 People Programme in Brussels from  25-28 October 2010. The aim of this study tour was to give participants the opportunity to familiarise themselves with international and European programmes which prevent domestic violence and protect their victims. This study tour offered participants exchange and networking opportunities in a respectful atmosphere among themselves and with European-level as well as Member State-based civil society organisations active in this field.

The study visit was open for the participation of several representatives of civil society organisations active in this field from each of the candidate and potential candidate countries and territories to EU enlargement. Around 30 participants from civil society organizations in the Western Balkans and Turkey participated in lectures on legislation and programmes at the EU level, legal and sociologic background information about domestic violence, discussions on the role of civil society organisations in combating domestic violence and had an opportunity to visit the EU institutions.
