It was organized by the National Foundation for Civil Society which is the  national coordinator of the Network. CESI as one of 44 members of the Croatian network was represented by Gordana Obradović-Dragišić, executive director.

Croatian Network for cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean is one of 43 national networks of civil society organizations within the Anna Lindh - Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue, stationed at Alexandria.

Thirty representatives present at the first meeting of the Croatian National Foundation Network were briefed by National Foundation on the activities conducted in the period from the establishment of networks to date, and presented with plans for upcoming activities.

The fact that Croatian network, grew rapidly since its establishment in January this year until now (up to 44 members) attracted significant interest and attention and it was evaluated as the fastest-growing national network in the Anna Lindh Foundation network.

The projects that will be implemented by the end of this year and at the beginning of next year were also presented to participants. These projects should increase the visibility of the Croatian network and the Anna Lindh Foundation, with the aim to more strongly promote the values of intercultural dialogue and intercultural cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean.

Director of the National Foundation Ms. Cvjetana Plavša-Matic introduced the participants with promotion activities, such as the launch of a special part of the website of the Croatian National Foundation for Civil Society dedicated to Croatian Network and the thematic issue of the magazine Civil Society, as well as training programs for the Network members.

Participants of the meeting presented their experiences in the activities of the Network and reported on the results of the call for proposals for financial assistance and awards, which are already bearing first positive results.

Finally, the participants were addressed by Ms. Nives Malenica, coordinator of the Barcelona Process: Union for the Mediterranean, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, who reported on conclusions of the Board of Governor of ALF-which was held in July in Brussels.
