On the occasion of the International Women's Day March 8, 2009 CESI has celebrated 12 years of its existence and successful work. We used this opportunity to raise public attention on the role of women in the forthcoming local elections. The press conference was held warning on low numbers of women at the city, county and municipality level. More then 90 present - boxes were sent to political parties and their leaders and local level organizations. Boxes contained symbolic presents with gender lens, magnifying glass, candle and leaflet with all relevant gender equality laws and regulations.  This will raise awareness and help politicians to find and recognize women and include them in the election lists.
